Setting STANDARD, Surpassing SUPERIORITY
Orchid Greens was founded in 2009 in an effort to share our method of orchid-growing that originated from Taiwan over the past three generations. The history of Orchid Greens can be traced back to Hong Cong Yuen, the man who made it all possible. He founded Fuxing Greenhouses in 1973, and was the one who put in place all operational and technical standards for Orchid Greens. Starting out as a hobbyist back in the early 1940s at the age of 16, Hong Cong Yuen went on to develop new methods in creating various new Orchid specimens. After showing people what fabulous plants his orchids had evolved into, he has since decided to mass-produce these delightful flowers in order to share them with the world. Hong Cong Yuen is now well-recognized in the orchid community in Taiwan, partly attributed to the many awards he has won as well as the exposure he gained from judging at the International Orchids Competition in 1990. Upon retirement, he passed on all his knowledge and spirit to the next generation, and now we're here to bring it to Eastern Canada.
