Landscape Design and Sustainable Landscape Program
Whether you are a landscape professional seeking to upgrade your skills, an individual ready for a career change, or an avid amateur with an interest in the art of garden design, our programs give you the skills and knowledge you need. Choose from two grad certificates, or complete the requirements of both to earn a Master's degree in Landscape Design. Our Landscape Design program provides a background in horticulture, nursery and planting standards, and the creative process of design. It focuses on small-scale applications with sound design principles, good site engineering methods and creative use of plants. Our Sustainable Landscapes Program provides landscape design students and experienced landscape design professionals with the best practices in landscape conservation and sustainability adapted for the small-scale landscape. Students learn all aspects of sustainable design: urban ecology, energy efficiency, water/ soil conservation, native plants and food production.
