My name is Mark. I have been involved in animal care and conservation for as long as I can remember. I consider animals some of my best friends and I enjoy working with them every chance I get. Currently, in my free(?) time I work with the Tulsa Zoo as a volunteer educator teaching children and adults all about the animals that I work with. Additionally, I help with the care of most of the education animals I work with from Blue Jays to Red Tail Hawks and Falcons. From Austrialian bearded dragons to ball pythons. From brown and fruit bats to geckos. I love them all but my favorites are the birds and reptiles.

I got started building bird houses several years ago when I saw some little finches scurrying about on a particularily snowy and cold day and wanting to do my part to help. I have used my experiences with working with various birds and their habitats to pick some designs that I really like and are functional and attractive at the same time. I hope that you enjoy them and will join me in an effort to protect our song birds and beautify America via our own backyards at the same time.
