Schrodt Designs© was conceived in 1985 with a vision to create artistic handcrafted, nature-related designs in an enviromentally responsible way. This vision grew out of a lifelong devotion to the arts and a love of nature, coupled with the belief that it is possible to create a sustainable business rooted in the tradition of American handcrafting. We choose, to work to the maximum extent possible with material that are defined as waste by the industries that product them.

The wildlife garden designs that we engineer undergo extensive research and field testing with a goal of producing innovative, efficient, trouble-free tools for wildlife lovers who want to surround their lives with art and beauty. We have watched the rising popularity of feeding birds and attracting wildlife grow. One in three Americans now feeds birds or provides water and housing for wild birds and the numbers are increasing. We believed this phenomenon is a reflection of the growing passion to restore and preserve the diversity and abundance of life on our planet Earth. Bird feeding is an activity which springs directly from a desire to give something back to nature.
