    Corinthian Bells® Windchimes

Corinthian Bells® wind chimes are the first in a new generation of wind chimes to combine excellence in design with incredible tones and resonance. These are visually and acoustically exceptional chimes; we believe that they are the best chimes on the market today. The centrally suspended heavy-walled aluminum tubes along with the high density striker give these chimes their outstanding tones and resonance. The tubes are powder coated to match the dome and wind sail, giving a complete finished look to the chime. Corinthian windchimes are available in ten sizes, and six designer colors.

    For the Girls® Windchimes

Inspired by my own mother's personal experience, I created For the Girls® in honor of all women and their families affected by breast cancer. May the mellow tones ring solace for those remembering loved ones. May the soothing resonance bring hope and encouragement for those fighting the battle and the bright melodies sing a victory song to survivors!

    In Loving Memory® Windchimes

In Loving Memory® windchimes combine exceptional sound, traditional style and inspirational engraving to provide a wonderful remembrance or memorial tribute to loved ones. This line is intended for flower shops, gift shops, and stores in the inspirational gift industry.

    Shenandoah Melodies® Windchimes

Shenandoah Melodies® windchimes compliment their predecessors, Corinthian Bells® windchimes, in style and design. Designed to resonate beautiful tones in the slightest breeze, Shenandoah Melodies® chimes offer a five-note pentatonic scale that harmonizes beautifully. Their soft earth tone finishes evoke a mood of relaxation that hearkens to quieter times.

    Arias Elite® Windchimes

Arias Elite® windchimes combine exceptional tones reminiscent of Corinthian Bells® with the classic wood construction of Arias® chimes. These chimes are designed to provide outstanding sound quality at an affordable price. Arias Elite chimes are hand-tuned and assembled using a traditional zigzag design to hang the tubes from the chime base. The base, striker, and wind sail are made of solid American redwood and are varnished to bring out their natural beauty. A silver hanging ring connects the strings of the base to the mounting frame of your choice.

    Arias® Windchimes

QMT Associates, Inc. has been manufacturing Arias® windchimes for over twenty years. Our chimes have beautiful tones and excellent resonance. The wood components are redwood with a penetrating oil-resin finish. The aluminum is anodized or powder-coated to stand up to the elements. The cord is a strong polyester. Arias® chimes are made to be durable and weather resistant, giving years of enjoyment to your customers.

    Festival® Windchimes

Festival® Windchimes respond to the slightest breeze, producing beautiful, uplifting melodies with every movement. Tempered anodized aluminum is cut and drilled precisely, to give Festival® Windchimes a rich, melodious tone. Each tube is then further hand-tuned to ensure that our chimes produce a balanced scale which is soothing and easy to listen to.

    Weatherland® Windchimes

Weatherland® Chimes are individually hand-tuned to clear, classical notes that resonate peaceful melodies. A wide range of sizes are available, ranging from the light, breezy notes of Whisper of the Plains®, to the deep, rich tones of Church Bells in D-MajorTM. Individual tags distinguish each chime and give information specific to its melody. Each Weatherland® Chime is boxed with the name of the chime printed clearly on the outside.

    Mountain View® Birdhouses & Feeders

QMT Associates, Inc. is excited to introduce our new line of Bird Houses and Feeders. Mountain View® Birdhouses and Feeders are unique in that they offer the natural beauty of redwood set in completely original designs, producing pieces that are natural yet finished, elegant yet functional. The redwood, which is naturally resistant to decay, is contoured to shape and then embossed with an attractive pattern, and finally, finished for the weather.

      Made in the USA

Since 1980, QMT Windchimes® has been crafting fine hand-tuned windchimes with attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.  We manufacture our chimes in Manassas Park, Virginia and source our raw materials from US lumber and aluminum mills so that from start to finish, our chimes are Proudly Made in the USA.

      Windchime Tubes

First, each pipe is manufactured to the specific diameter and thickness of its chime.  The metallic finishes are then anodized, while the color finishes are powder coated with our designer formulas.  We then cut the pipe to their tube lengths, drill the holes for the pins or cord, and bevel the pipe’s ends for a smooth edge.  Each pipe is then hand-tuned and adjusted if necessary.

Wooden Bases, Strikers, and Wind Sails

The wood components for our Shenandoah Melodies®Arias Elite®,Arias®Weatherland®, and Festival®. Windchimes are hand-crafted from rough-cut lumber in our Manassas Park woodshop.  We purchase our Oak, Cedar, Walnut, Cherry and Redwood from US lumber mills.  The lumber is cut, planed, sanded and varnished to produce the variety of components and sizes needed for our wide selection of chimes.

      Birdhouses & Birdfeeders

Our Mountain View® Birdhouses and Birdfeeders are hand-crafted from rough-cut Redwood lumber in our Manassas Park woodshop. The wood is molded and embossed with eye-catching designs, cut to length, and then varnished to beautify and protect the wood.

      Packaging

Each of our chimes is packaged in its own designer gift box.  Our windchime boxes both protect our chimes during shipping and provide an attractive gift package.  Like our windchimes, our boxes are designed and manufactured in the United States.

QMT WindchimesTM originated in the Florida craft show circuit in the early 80’s. Mike Throne camped in the back of his van and traveled to craft shows selling different products, including wind chimes from a local producer. When his source for chimes dried up, Mike began to build his own handmade wind chimes, with an eye toward quality and continually improving his designs. Working during the week in a 10’ x 20’ warehouse, he produced the chimes that would be sold on the weekend. Mike was determined to offer the buying public a chime that was as beautiful to see as it was to hear. And it worked; the demand for his windchimes soon overwhelmed his ability to make them himself. So he took a deep breath and became a young entrepreneur following the American dream. He hired his first employees, found our facility in Manassas Park and set down roots in the community to produce quality handmade windchimes for wholesale trade shows.

Arias® was the first line of wind chimes he created, soon followed byWeatherland®. QMT WindchimesTM continued to grow in numbers of chimes produced and in the number of lines offered. The introduction ofCorinthian Bells®, the first in the next generation of windchimes, created an astonishing excitement among retailers in the gift and garden industries. Corinthian Bells® are the ultimate wind chimes on the market today; the exceptional tones and resonances and the contemporary design stay true to Mike’s original desire to offer quality chimes that were pleasing to all the senses. QMT WindchimesTM offers a wide selection of quality chimes, birdhouses and birdfeeders, each handmade with the same care and attention as the original.

In the spring of 2005, Mike chose his successor, Jamie Baisden, who shared Mike’s vision for QMT. Since Jamie’s purchase of QMT in 2006,QMT has continued to move forward as a domestic producer committed to its employees, customers and community. Over the past five years,QMT WindchimesTM has introduced the Shenandoah Melodies® line, the new Arias® Elite line and three new sizes in the Corinthian Bells® line. All have been well received by our customers and continue to gain in popularity. Our newest brands include In Loving Memory™ Windchimesand For the Girls™ Windchimes. Our In Loving Memory™ chimes are engraved with inspirational verses and make a great memorial gift.  The For The Girls™ brand was created as a way to support loved ones and raise funds for breast cancer research.  We are continuing to move forward with new sounds and designs, while maintaining the standards of excellence and innovation on which the company was built.
