Why It Works so Well
Choosing the Correct Essential Oil -- Our quest for the perfect pesticide started with a review of the 15 essential plant oils allowed for use by the EPA as active ingredients in minimum-risk pesticides. We tested each of these oils on cannabis plants infected with two-spotted mites and russet mites. We also tested the oils on mildew. This research clearly showed that peppermint oil was the most effective in killing mites and because of its robust antimicrobial action also takes care of mildew and black spot. As an added bonus, it also was the least damaging to plant tissue. Further tests showed that it is very effective on roses, rhododendrons, azaleas and many other indoor and outdoor plants.

Nanotechnology -- Our early decision to embrace NanoTechnology has paid off. Peppermint Fury is created using a high-energy processor that encapsulates the peppermint oil in extremely small (almost atomic-sized) structures called micelles. Although making a nanotechnology pesticide requires an extra step in the production process, the advantages are well worth it. This technology allows us to create next-generation pesticides with superior performance -- they penetrate better, apply more evenly without shaking or stirring, use less extraneous chemistry that can be toxic to plant tissues and the environment, and leave less residue when the active ingredient evaporates.
