Valued Customer of Central Garden & Pet and our Independent Garden Distribution business,
We have recently announced that we have sold our Independent Garden Distribution business to BFG Supply.
Selling this portion of our business will allow Central Garden & Pet to focus on our core competencies while continuing a relationship for our Garden branded products with a world-class distributor, BFG.
BFG is bringing many of our trusted sales team members on board as part of this agreement, and we will have representatives in place to help assist in the transition, answer your questions, and ensure we minimize disruption to your business. Your representative will be engaged and working closely with you and your teams to ensure a seamless transition of contracts, order communications, and product supply.
Additionally, as a result of this transaction, Central will not be hosting a trade show this year. We will be working closely with BFG to ensure that you have access to their virtual and in-person shows, where you should expect to see all the great deals you have come to expect and more.

 BFG Supply Acquires Distribution Business of Central Garden
BFG Supply (“BFG”), a leading technology-enabled distributor to the green industry, has acquired the independent garden center distribution business of Central Garden and Pet (“Central”). The independent garden center distribution portion of Central serves more than 4,000 customers across the United States, selling both Central and third-party vendor products across the nation. This acquisition strengthens the leading position of BFG in the independent lawn and garden distribution segment.
Headquartered in Burton, OH, BFG distributes a full line of products across complementary green industry segments including professional horticulture, lawn & garden, hydroponic, and Controlled Environment Agriculture (“CEA”). With over 25,000 SKUs in stock, the comprehensive product offering provides a differentiated, one-stop solution to customers. The distribution business of Central will be integrated into BFG in the coming months. Prior to the completion of the integration, customers can continue to order product from Central as usual. BFG will provide more information regarding the transition to customers over the next several weeks. |
