Founded in 1964, Kurt Bluemel, Inc. is a nursery grower and supplier of ornamental grasses, bamboo, perennials, ferns, sedges, rushes and other exotic nursery plant materials. Our landscape design and contracting division provides residential and commercial landscape services throughout the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan region, Northeast, and across the United States.



Kurt Bluemel is acknowledged as one of the founding fathers of the "ornamental grass movement." As such, Mr. Bluemel, is frequently called upon, worldwide by horticulture societies, universities, and botanical gardens to lecture at Fortune 500 companies, zoo and park commissions and residential owners for expert horticultural consultation, landscape and habitat creation.
