Brienne Gluvna Arthur --- Brie Arthur Communications. Originally from southeastern Michigan, Brie studied landscape design at Purdue University. She has worked in many aspects of horticulture including estate gardening at Montrose Gardens and nursery production at Plant Delights and Camellia Forest Nursery. As a professional garden industry communicator Brie is committed to getting the message out that all things horticultural are the way of the future. She writes for Meister and GIE Media about green industry trends and strategies to expand market demographics. She speaks internationally on a variety of horticulture topics ranging from foodscape design to technical propagation methods. As a correspondent on the PBS television show Growing A Greener World, Brie shares practical advice from her one acre suburban foodscape encouraging everyone to embrace the hobby and lifestyle of home gardening. 2016 brings many new ventures, including her first two books published by Timber Press and Cool Springs Press and on-line gardening education program. Brie serves as GWA National Director of Region IV representing garden communicators across the southeast US. An active fundraiser for the JC Raulston Arboretum, she reaches into the community and beyond through social media campaigns promoting the value of horticulture. As founder of Emergent: A Group For Growing Professionals, Brie encourages an open dialogue and networking opportunities between seasoned professionals and rising industry members. She sits on the Executive Committee and is the Social Media Chair for the International Plant Propagators Southern Region and as Marketing Chair for the IPPS International Board.
