David Listerman graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1982 with a BS in Ornamental Horticulture. Upon graduation, he started working at a wholesale nursery– first as the manager of the wholesale center, then he spent 15 years in outside sales, covering an eight-state territory.



During this time, David Listerman established his strong relationships with an unprecedented variety of wholesale nursery growers, landscape contractors and landscape architects. The experience allowed him to develop his unique perspective within the industry. In 1998, at the encouragement of his customers and nurseries, David founded Listerman & Associates.
