First, I hope that this letter finds you safe, and in good health. We at Central Garden and Pet are so thankful for your partnership, always but particularly so during this time of National Emergency.
With the growing uncertainty around the COVID-19 situation impacting our country, and in an overabundance of caution, we are reaching out to you to let you know that we have made the difficult decision to cancel our Garden Distribution Dealer show planned for late August. Our team has put a significant amount of time into making this difficult decision. Ultimately, there is nothing more important to us at Central than the health, safety, and wellbeing of our customers, our vendor partners, and our employees. We also know that this epidemic is putting a strain on many of your businesses, and the additional travel that would be required, and time away from your businesses, could add additional burdens to you. Finally, the city of Las Vegas has been particularly heavily impacted by COVID-19, and many of the teams that we would be working with in order to plan and carry out the show are unavailable, which we believe could impact the quality of the show.
Since we will not be able to bring you to the show, we will be working diligently to develop ways to bring the show to you. Rest assured that the new and exciting products, depth and breadth of assortment, and outstanding values that are available to you at the Show will be made available to you without the need to travel to get them. Our sales teams will be reaching out to you to provide further details as we roll out our mobile trade show in the coming weeks. We will also look forward to the time that we can all gather together again, and we have already begun planning and discussions for our 2021 Dealer Show which will be at Paris in Las Vegas.
In the meantime, we continue to be committed to executing against the Garden season while maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our employees and our customers. Our distribution facilities and manufacturing plants continue to operate as part of the essential supply chain to ensure we can satisfy your requirements to the best of our abilities.
