Horticulture Technology . 
The Horticulture Technology program at Alamance Community College offers courses that provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue a career in the green industry. It is a unique program designed to provide comprehensive knowledge of horticultural practices through a hands-on approach.

The program offers a variety of courses which cover the broad range of subject matter within the discipline of Horticulture. Some of the course topics are as follows: applied plant science, plant identification, propagation, greenhouse operations, arboriculture, landscape irrigation, sales, marketing, landscape design, construction and management. The overall goal of this program is to provide students with a thorough and well-rounded education in horticulture that prepares them for employment in the industry. In addition to the knowledge and skills implemented in the program, students are introduced and exposed to the industry through field trips, guest speakers and numerous opportunities to attend industry trade-shows, conferences and symposiums. These opportunities offered to students enhance the educational experience by providing a better look into the diverse career paths available in horticulture as well as networking opportunities with potential employers in the local area and throughout the nation.
