Helping to Grow the Professionalism of the Green Industry
The Alabama Green Industry Training Center, Inc. (AGITC) founded in 2006 as a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization with the vision to help educate professionals, students, and homeowners to become better stewards of the environment. The Green Industry encompasses many sectors including agriculture, forestry, horticulture, and turfgrass along with various other environmentally related enterprises.



The AGITC offers training classes covering topics for the pest management sectors, the landscape, nursery, and greenhouse sectors, and related business applications. In addition, the AGITC provides an experienced venue for taking Alabama Department of Agriculture & Industries computerized exams, administers certification programs for the industry, and provides on-site training for many types of entities.
